Black weekend in the village of Vrakúň: a drunken pedestrian († 47) was hit by a car, doctors could no longer save him

In the village of Vrakúň in the district of Dunajská Streda, a car and a 47-year-old pedestrian under the influence of alcohol collided on Saturday, November 9. The pedestrian was injured in the collision and died after being transported to the hospital. The Trnava regional police reported about it on the social network.

The 30-year-old driver was driving the car in the direction of the town of Gabčíkovo, when the collision occurred for reasons that have not yet been determined. “The police subjected both men to breath tests. Alcohol was not detected in the young driver’s breath. On the contrary, the police measured 1.23 per thousand in the breath of a 47-year-old pedestrian,” approached the police.

Criminal prosecution for the offense of manslaughter is being conducted. “In the case, an autopsy was ordered to determine the exact causes of death, as well as toxicology. An expert from the road transport department was brought into the proceedings,” added the police, who are investigating the exact causes and circumstances of the accident, as well as the extent of its culpability.
