See here the images of the moment, captured by the “body cam” of the volunteer firefighters in Granbury, Texas.
A 2-year-old child was saved from a house fire in Granbury, Texas, on Sunday night. The flames took over the house and the boy was trapped on the top floor. In an ugly operation, volunteer firefighters managed to rescue the child.
The firefighters had to access the floor where the boy was with a ladder placed outside, close to the window, and break the glass to remove the child, who was in panic. “He’s crying, that’s good,” said one of the firefighters at the time of the rescue, relieved to find the boy alive.
When the fire started, the child’s mother saved her 4-year-old son, but was unable to reach his younger brother because of the flames and intense smoke.
Volunteer firefighters arrived shortly after and, in an ugly operation, managed to remove the child.
The boy was transported to hospital where he was treated for carbon monoxide poisoning. The mother, Phylicia Keen, told the BBC that the child However, he has already been discharged and is “fine”.
The Granbury Corporation released images of the rescue, recorded by the firefighters’ body cam.
