Wissam Ben Yedder has already been charged with three crimes of sexual assault and tax infraction

Former French national team striker Wissam Ben Yedder was given a two-year suspended prison sentence after being found guilty of charges of rape, attempted rape and sexual assault. The 34-year-old player raped two young women aged 19 and 20, and will be effectively arrested if he breaks French laws.
The case was judged this Tuesday (12) by the Nice criminal court, which defined a fine of around R$39,900 paid by the attacker to the victims, in addition to the suspension of his driver’s license for a period of six months.
In addition to Ben Yedder, his 25-year-old brother was also accused of the same sexual assaults carried out by the player in the city of Beausoleil, on July 10.
This is not the first report of aggression that Ben Yedder has received, having been arrested in September for attacking a 23-year-old girl in his car, in the Alpes-Maritimes, where he lives after leaving Monaco. The charges were “sexual assault while clearly intoxicated, refusal to comply and driving under the influence of alcohol.”
At the time, he was stopped drunk by police officers, according to the vehicle L’Équipe. Two days after the attack, Yedder left police detention, with an immediate summons to appear in court on October 15th.
After the court’s decision to release him, the Public Prosecutor’s Office requested preventive detention of the player, but was unable to obtain approval. Ben was then banned from leaving the Alpes-Maritimes, staying outside between 8pm and 6am, entering drinking establishments and clubs, or making contact with the victim. Another court order was that Ben Yedder undergo medical treatment twice a week.
Previously, he had also been sentenced to six months and one day in prison for a tax offense while playing for Sevilla, Spain, the club he signed for in 2016. The sentence imposed by the Seville court was suspended for two years. , in which he cannot commit any tax infraction.
In addition to Sevilla, Ben played for Monaco, a French club, where he was number 10 and captain. His first club was Toulouse, where he was revealed in 2010.
