Amidst the transformations in the sports broadcasting market and the growth of clubs’ own platforms, Flamengo became the target of questions among fans about a possible free exhibition of its games.
With the reformulation of FlamengoTV for the season, the question arose: after all, will the channel broadcast Rubro-Negro matches for free in Brazil?

Will Fla TV show Flamengo games for free in Brazil?
Starting this season, FlamengoTV will start showing Flamengo matches live and with images in a new broadcast format aimed at an international audience. In total, the 10 games of the Carioca Championship and the 19 clashes of the Brazilian Championship in which Rubro-Negro will play as home team will be broadcast, totaling 29 matches among the more than 70 commitments scheduled on the calendar.
The adopted model replaces the traditional pay-per-view and makes broadcasts free and accessible to fans around the world. However, this free of charge does not apply to Brazil. Due to the transmission rights contracts in force in the domestic market, Games cannot be shown for free in the national territory.
Thinking about expanding its international reach, FlamengoTV will also offer two audio options. The public will be able to follow the matches in Portuguese, with narration by João Guilherme, or in Spanish, with Gustavo Whertein, an initiative that reinforces the club’s strategy of further strengthening its relationship with fans from Spanish-speaking countries.
