European stock markets are trading flat despite the progress in negotiations between the US and Iran

Investors are closely monitoring progress in negotiations between the United States and Iran in Switzerland and evaluating the prospects for US monetary policy following the Federal Reserve’s restrictive signals last week. Iranian negotiators say progress has been made in peace talks with the US, helping to calm fears that the process was breaking down. Washington and Tehran have agreed on a roadmap to reach a final peace agreement within 60 days. Oil prices are falling and the Asian stock markets are mostly up, although doubts about the sustainability of the truce lead the futures of the US indices to show slight falls, while the European stock markets are trading practically flat.
