Jorge Goetten (-SC) says he knew the locksmith, suspected of being the man found dead in front of the (Federal Supreme Court).

The congressman sent a message to a group of opposition deputies saying that he knew Luiz and his family and that he “really appeared to have severe mental problems.”

HAS SheetGoetten claims that Francisco was in his office a few times last year and one last time in August of this year. “A guy I knew for over 30 years, a successful entrepreneur, from a good family. I was happy with his visit, I’m always happy with visits, even more so when he’s a fellow countryman. We are very shaken,” said the deputy .

The congressman says that Francisco was in his office in August, but that they did not meet. “Last year I don’t know, I think I helped him a couple of times. This year it was in August, but I wasn’t in the office, I probably shouldn’t even be in Brasília because it was election time.”

“Last year, I mentioned to the office that I found him a bit strange, emotionally shaken. He talked a lot about his separation. He seemed a bit shaken to me,” says the deputy.

Goetten also states that after the incident he asked mutual friends to visit Luiz’s family to see what he could do to help.

“The family is shaken and I am at their disposal to make arrangements, whatever is necessary. It is regrettable what happened, but it is also regrettable that we lost a human being who, due to poor mental health, committed this madness. And, fortunately, this did not cause major casualties.”

“I’m also sorry as a parliamentarian, for being involved in this episode that doesn’t deserve it. And our office may be partly to blame for this, but it’s impossible to stop these crazy things that happen to human beings with compromised mental health. I would never have imagined that they could cause this for him and for society”, he said.

A. The deputies were discussing the PEC (proposed amendment to the Constitution).

The President of the Chamber, (-AL), “must be investigated with the necessary urgency to clarify all its causes and circumstances”.

He also decided to suspend all legislative and administrative activities of the Chamber until 12pm this Thursday (14), including sessions and committee meetings.
