The legendary Mike Tyson, aged 58, returned to the ring after 19 years of professional absence, but was defeated by influencer and boxer Jake Paul, aged 27, by unanimous decision from the judges (80-72, 79-73, 79-73 ) in the early hours of Saturday (16), at AT&T Stadium, in Dallas, Texas.
The confrontation attracted more than 61 thousand spectators to an event that marked a generational difference in boxing.
The fight, held under adapted rules, had eight rounds of two minutes each, taking into account the age difference between the opponents.

While Tyson sought to close the distance, remembering moments from his peak, Paul used his physical superiority and greater reach to control the dispute.

The duel began with Tyson showing flashes of his former aggression, moving forward to close the distance and land strikes immediately.
Paulo, initially cautious, focused on defense and counterattack, managing to balance the fight in the first round.

In the second, both fighters adopted a more studied stance, with less aggression, but Paul began to explore his advantage in speed and volume of blows.

The decisive moment came in the third round, when Paul connected with a cross that knocked Tyson off balance.
From then on, the influencer dominated the rhythm of the fight, maintaining control with a sequence of precise blows and taking advantage of the former world champion’s obvious fatigue.

The numbers reflect Paul’s dominance: he landed 78 shots out of 278 thrown, while Tyson connected on just 18 out of 97 attempts.

In the final rounds, Tyson, even though clearly exhausted, showed resistance, preventing Paul from finishing the fight with a knockout, which drew applause from the public.
But that wasn’t enough for Tyson to reverse the result.

At the end of the confrontation, Paul praised the boxing legend, while Tyson highlighted the merits of his younger opponent.
The fight, despite its history, left a mixed feeling among fans, many of whom expected a more exciting performance from both sides.
However, mutual respect demonstrated the sporting tone of the event in the final support.
