The person monitored by an electronic ankle bracelet, Dheyme Marques dos Santos, aged 23, was shot while riding a bicycle on Friday night (15), in Travessa HonĂłrio Alves, in the Quinze neighborhood, in the Second District of Rio Branco.
According to police information, Dheyme was traveling along the street on a bicycle when he was surprised by members of a criminal organization who approached in a red Gol model vehicle. The criminals got out of the car armed and fired several shots at the victim.
Even though he was injured, Dheyme managed to run about 100 meters, but fell in front of the Foursquare Gospel Church of the Fifteen, where the attackers caught up with him and fired three more shots at his head. After the execution, the perpetrators fled the scene.
The Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) was called, and an advanced support ambulance was sent. However, upon arrival, paramedics found that Dheyme was already dead.
Military police officers from the 2nd Battalion isolated the area for criminal investigation work. They then collected information and carried out patrols in the region in search of criminals, but no suspects were located.
After the examination was completed, Dheyme’s body was removed and sent to the Legal Medical Institute (IML) for cadaveric examinations.
The police still do not know the motivation for the crime. The case is under investigation by agents from the Ready Employment Team (EPE) and will subsequently be forwarded to the Homicide and Personal Protection Police Station (DHPP).
