In a note, the parish expressed its discontent, stating that it “repudiates the acts that occurred” and that it “will act in legal terms”, based on article 251, § 2, of the Penal Code, which provides for the crime of outrage on grounds of religious belief. .
The young woman, born in Póvoa de Varzim, is being harshly criticized on social media, including by Father Ricardo Esteves, a media figure and influencer. In a direct message, the priest accused Marie of a lack of respect and maturity, advising her to reflect on her actions and apologize to God.
