Won at the Berlinale Dahomey the Golden Bear, this year’s Viennale ended with the documentary, which lasted just under 70 minutes. Director Mati Diop comes from a privileged French-Senegalese artistic family. In her films she focuses on the post-colonial relationships between Europe and Africa with the aim of breaking the prevailing Eurocentric worldview.
