From 10am this Friday (Nov 22, 2024), the Federal Revenue will open consultations on the residual batch of IRPF (Individual Income Tax) refunds for November. The value will be available next Friday (Nov 29). According to the government, R$558.822 million will be paid to 221,597 taxpayers.
To check whether you are entitled, the taxpayer must access the Revenue page on the internet, click on “My Income Tax” and then on “”. If you identify any pending issues, you must rectify the declaration. The query can also be made via the Revenue app for tablets and smartphones. Another way to check the information is through the (Federal Revenue Virtual Service Center), which requires a silver or gold level portal password.
Of the total that will be paid, R$306.889 million will be allocated to taxpayers who have legal priority. They are:
- 4,802 refunds for seniors over 80 years old;
- 34,287 refunds for taxpayers aged 60 to 79;
- 3,570 refunds for taxpayers with any physical or mental disability or serious illness;
- 8,898 refunds for taxpayers whose biggest source of income is teaching.
In addition, 88,246 refunds will be allocated to taxpayers who received priority for using the Pre-Filled Declaration or choosing to receive the refund via Pix.
This batch included 73,151 refunds intended for non-priority taxpayers and 8,643 for prioritized taxpayers due to the state of calamity declared in Rio Grande do Sul.
If the taxpayer does not receive the money, he has up to 1 year to request the amounts, renewing the payment by Banco do Brasil. This request can be made at the bank or through the BB Relationship Center: 4004-0001 (capitals), 0800-7290001 (other locations) and 0800-7290088 (special telephone number exclusively for the hearing impaired).
