Iceland surprises again with an impressive natural phenomenon: the volcano on the Reykjanes peninsula has erupted for the tenth time in three years. Located about 30 kilometers from Reykjavik, the event was captured by stunning aerial footage, showing incandescent lava and plumes of smoke contrasting against the sky.
This time, volcanic activity opened a 3-kilometer fissure in the ground. Although the visual spectacle is intense, the phenomenon did not generate significant dispersion of ash, keeping air circulation unchanged.
The Icelandic meteorological office, responsible for monitoring, reported that this eruption has a lower intensity compared to previous episodes, such as last August.
Once again, Iceland reinforces its reputation as a land of extremes, enchanting the world with the strength of fire in contrast to the ice that defines its landscape.
