Freezing and strong winds will prevail in Slovakia, SHMÚ warns: It can cause damage

The Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute (SHMÚ) has issued first level warnings for strong wind and ice. It should be expected from Sunday and also during Monday (November 25) in all districts of the Košice region. Meteorologists in the west of Slovakia warned of stronger winds. SHMÚ informed about it on its website.

Meteorologists expect the occurrence of wind in several regions from midnight, which will reach an average speed of around 45 kilometers per hour. “The predicted wind speed is normal for the given time of year and area, but it may cause minor damage,” they said. Wind with gale force parameters should be present in the high mountain areas of Banskobystrické, Prešovské and Žilina regions.
