New York court again denied Sean Combs’ motion to be released on house arrest on his private island in Florida. The rapper’s lawyers suggested at a court hearing on Friday, November 22 that their client could be detained at his home in Star Island, Florida.
District Judge Arun Subramanian rejected the idea, saying it would not work. Diddy’s team then submitted an alternative proposal, asking whether the rapper could be placed under house arrest in his apartment on the Upper East Side of New York. They offered round-the-clock patrol with two guards at the three-bedroom property where Diddy would live and another guard stationed on the ground floor.
Diddy has applied for bail for the fourth time and a final decision is expected next week. Combs was in custody after facing charges of sex trafficking, extortion and transportation for the purpose of operating a prostitution ring in September, with his the criminal trial was set for May 2025.
