Already 3On Friday (Nov 26), Vieira will present the management program to journalists at the Chamber.
The psolist will compete with (Republicanos-PB), a candidate supported by 17 parties in the Chamber, which total 488 deputies. A candidate needs the support of at least 257 congressmen to be elected.
Only o and o did not signal support for any candidate in the dispute.
The expectation is that Novo, with 4 parties on the bench, will also launch its own candidate in the election.
The vote is secret and individual. In other words, the support of 17 acronyms does not guarantee the automatic adhesion of deputies. Psol’s candidacy, however, is yet another political gesture of opposition to the president of the Chamber, Arthur Lira (PP-AL), which supports Motta to succeed him.
Motta and Lira demonstrated political strength when the deputies (União Brasil-BA) and (PSD-BA) gave up competing for the presidency of the Chamber, after pressure from party leaders to support a consensus name.
