In the capital of São Paulo, temperatures are expected to rise significantly, with predicted maximums of 28ºC, reaching up to 34ºC in the coming days. Rio de Janeiro will not escape the heat either, with temperatures around 29ºC and no rain forecast, promising hot and dry days. In Brasília and Goiânia, the maximum temperatures are expected to reach 27ºC and 28ºC, respectively, with a slight possibility of scattered rain.
In the Southeast, climate stability predominates, with no forecast of systems that could change the climate at the beginning of the week. However, a new cold front approaches the south of Brazil, bringing rain to the state of Rio Grande do Sul, especially in the regions of Bajé and Fronteira Oeste Gaúcha. Civil Defense has already issued warnings about the possibility of heavy rain in these areas, which could cause disruption. Last weekend, the city of Uberlândia, in Minas Gerais, was surprised by intense rain, accumulating more than 50 mm in less than 30 minutes, which resulted in a tragedy that killed a local blogger.
Meanwhile, firm weather prevails in Santa Catarina, Paraná, south of Minas Gerais and Mato Grosso do Sul, providing sunny and warm days. In the Northeast, the interior of Bahia, Piauí, Maranhão and Tocantins should receive rain at the beginning of the week, bringing relief to the high temperatures. The eastern areas of the Northeast region, on the other hand, have firm weather, with no significant rain forecast.
