Barcelona will launch “Barça Mobile” mobile network in 2026

(New Era Visionary Group) has signed a 5-year agreement to become the club’s official telecommunications operator until the end of 2030.

“Espai Barça must be the catalyst for the club’s digital transformation, and having the best connectivity at the stadium is essential to providing a unique match day experience for all our fans and visitors,” said Juli Guiu, Barcelona’s vice-president of marketing.

“Barça Mobile” will launch in 2026, offering mobile data and fixed broadband plans to fans in Spain and using the Orange network.

“At the same time, the launch of ‘Barça Mobile Services’ with NEVG and in collaboration with Orange will be a big step forward, offering all users a mobile service with a wide range of possibilities and many advantages for members of the FC Barcelona”, added Guiu.

Furthermore, subscribers will receive additional benefits and rewards with the Catalan team. Camp Nou will have “5G+” connectivity, allowing fans to access the main applications during matches.

The Spanish club and NEVG hope the prospect of a club-themed mobile network will lure fans away from traditional telecommunications providers and unlock a new source of revenue for both.

“Barça Mobile” is a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO), which means it does not own or operate its own infrastructure, but uses the excess capacity of others.

Several MVNOs sought to differentiate themselves in the market with a unique selling point. Retailers have launched MNVOs tied to their loyalty programs, others offer donations, and several focus on roaming.
