The research, which is part of the 2nd edition of the study “Brazilians and the habits of using payment methods”, was conducted between October and November 2023, involving 1,500 people and 600 establishments.
The perception of Pix’s security is nuanced. While 23% of the population and 19.2% of traders see it as a neutral option, 18% of respondents and 10.5% of traders believe that the system is insecure or very insecure.
Regarding the acceptance of Pix, the results are quite positive. A total of 87.4% of the population stated that the method is almost always accepted or very accepted in transactions, 6% neither slightly accepted nor very accepted and 6.2% said that Pix is little accepted or practically never accepted. Among merchants, 58.1% reported that Pix is completely or highly requested by customers, and 23.6% responded that Pix is neither little demanded nor very popular.
