Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the STF (Supreme Federal Court), contributed to the fund created by the Gaviões da Fiel fans to pay off the financing debt for the Corinthians stadium, in Itaquera, the Neo Química Arena.
The report had access to the minister’s donation receipt. Standard document is delivered to everyone who participates in the virtual campaign. Launched on Wednesday (27), it is endorsed by Caixa Econômica Federal and Corinthians. As of 9:30 am on Saturday (30), R$17.9 million had already been raised.
The amount donated by the minister, who is a Corinthians fan, was not disclosed.
The campaign was created by fans to pay off the club’s debt of R$710 million with Caixa. The amount refers to financing for the construction of the team’s stadium, in the east zone of São Paulo.
The minimum donation amount is R$10. Fans still have quick options of R$20, R$50 and R$100, but they can also customize the amount.
The campaign will last a maximum of six months. Even if you don’t reach the goal at the end of the term, the money raised will be used to pay off the debt.
Corinthians and Gaviões da Fiel do not have access to the money. The Pix key made available goes directly to a Caixa Econômica Federal account.
The campaign features famous ambassadors, idols and players from the current Corinthians squad. Among them are actress Alessandra Negrini, musician MC Hariel, presenter Sabrina Sato, former players Neto and Basílio, as well as Romero and Tamires, players from the club’s men’s and women’s teams.
