Vienna/Brussels – The outgoing EU Commissioner Johannes Hahn indirectly criticized Federal President Alexander Van der Bellen in an interview with ORF radio (Saturday). When asked whether it was a mistake not to give FPÖ party leader Herbert Kickl the task of forming a government, Hahn said: “From a European, international perspective, I would have liked Mr. Kickl to have the opportunity to try it out, But then everyone can see: It didn’t work.”
