International award for the Viennese initiative “Kicking without borders”

Vienna – The non-profit initiative “Breaking Grounds – Social Change through Sport” from Vienna was awarded this year’s Intercultural Innovation Hub (IIH) for its project “Kicking without Borders – Empowering Youth through Football”. This made the initiative the only European project to successfully prevail against 1,800 applicants and, in addition to financial support, it also received comprehensive coaching and helpful mentoring. The internationally recognized prize was awarded by the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) in collaboration with the BMW Group and Accenture at a ceremony at the tenth global UNAOC Forum in Cascais, Portugal.
