Tbilisi – The political crisis in Georgia is coming to a head over the controversial issue of joining the European Union. EU-friendly President Salome Zurabishvili described the government as illegitimate on Saturday and said she would remain in her post despite her term ending in December. Her opponent, the pro-Russian Prime Minister Iraqi Kobachidze, had previously said that Georgia would not allow a revolution.
