A gluten-free diet can be challenging. Fortunately, thanks to popular ingredients, we can make it much easier. Chickpeas are a legume with a delicate flavor. This makes it universal and you can prepare many delicious dishes with it. Its advantage is that it can be consumed by virtually anyone – also by diabetics and people avoiding gluten.
Chickpeas have , and their consumption does not cause a sudden increase in blood sugar levels. It helps with that too high fiber content. Thanks to it, the absorption of carbohydrates is slowed down and sugar is released gradually. Fiber also has a positive effect on the digestive system and improves its functioning.

For this reason, bread made of it, unlike wheat counterpartsthis will help you reduce snacking after meals and maintain a healthy weight. Chickpeas do not contain gluten, so people who are allergic to this ingredient can safely consume them.
Ingredients:
- a glass of dry chickpeas,
- 100 ml of water,
- 2 heaped tablespoons of psyllium husk,
- a spoon of olive oil,
- a teaspoon of baking soda,
- a spoon of apple cider vinegar,
- granulated garlic,
- sweet pepper,
- sun
How to do it:
Start by soaking the chickpeas in a large amount of water. We leave it overnight, and the next day we strain it, rinse it with water and put it in a large bowl. Add water to it and blend until smooth. Add the psyllium husk, olive oil and spices. Place baking soda in a glass and activate it with apple cider vinegar. Pour the foamy liquid into the chickpeas. Mix everything together. When the ingredients are combined, set them aside for about 10-15 minutes to swell.
After this time, we move on to forming the buns. We can wet our hands with water or olive oil to make it easier. Place the ready rolls on a baking tray lined with baking paper. We put them in the oven preheated to 180 degrees C and bake for 35-40 minutes. When they are golden brown, take them out of the oven and leave to cool.
Chickpea rolls are quite a universal recipe that can be enriched with many interesting ingredients. It’s worth experimenting with spices. They will taste delicious with a bit of cumin or Provençal herbs mixed into the dough. Thanks to the aroma of spices, we can always count on an interesting taste of the rolls.
Another idea is to enrich the rolls with grains. An additional advantage is that they will increase their nutritional value. Just a tablespoon or two of sesame, poppy, black cumin, linseed, sunflower or pumpkin seeds will make the bake completely different.
