Van Nistelrooy will lead Premier League team after good impression at United

Leicester City chose Ruud van Nistelrooy as the new coach to replace the fired Steve Cooper, the Premier League club announced this Friday (29). The Dutchman has signed until June 2027.

Newly promoted, they chose to fire Cooper, who spent 157 days in the role, last Sunday (24), after the home defeat to Chelsea.

Van Nistelrooy, in turn, left a good impression recently, when he took charge of Manchester United on an interim basis, between the dismissal of Erik ten Hag and .

In command of the first team, the Dutchman managed three wins and a draw in four matches. He expressed interest in remaining on Manchester United’s permanent commission.
