Quemile Souza from Acre and Emanuely Pereira from Minas Gerais will be one of the pairs from Brazil competing in the Futures Brasil Beach Pro Tour in Maricá, Rio de Janeiro, starting on December 5th. This will be the duo’s first international event.
“Playing Futures in Maricá means a lot. We have worked hard since the beginning of the season and entering a competition of this level rewards all our efforts”, commented the athlete from Acre.
According to the president of the Acre Volleyball Federation (FEAV), professor João Petrolitano, competing in the Futures is the first step (with points) to enter the World Circuit disputes.
“ Quemile alongside Manu are starting a new journey. Playing competitions demands a lot from both the sporting and financial aspects, which is why it is necessary to achieve significant results”, he stated.
The competition in Maricá closes 2024 for the Manu/Quemile duo. The athletes will also play an exhibition game in Minas Gerais in the last act of the season.
