Buenos Aires – Brazilian soccer club Botafogo won the Copa Libertadores, the South American equivalent of the European Champions League, for the first time on Saturday. Botafogo won the final in Buenos Aires against the equally Brazilian team Atletico Mineiro 3-1 (2-0), despite playing outnumbered for almost the entire season. Gregore was ruled out for a foul in the 1st minute after hitting Fausto Vera in the head with his foot.
