Russia has already started a “secret war” with the West. Map shows how

The Telegraph newspaper makes a list of events that, alone, do not seem very relevant on a global scale. But maybe they are.

A Europa has recorded a series of incidents, of attacks, that seem isolated and without relevance on a global level. But maybe they are connectedwith the Russia behind.

The most recent was the fall of a plane in Lithuania; a suspicious package appeared and threats of bomba in London, including at the US embassy; drones about US bases also in the UK; big explosion in an industrial area of ​​Wales.

On another scale, underwater telecommunications in the Baltic Sea; apparent interference with travel train in Czechia (which have already killed passengers); or the offensives that affect Europeans and alter television channel programming.

Combine these events – and several others – on your map and leave a warning: Russia entered a “secret war” with the West. It won’t start, because has already started. This set of incidents is a escalation of acts of sabotage in Europe (and beyond).

The Kremlin’s idea will be to “sow the greatest sense of instability in Europe since the end of the Cold War”, reads the newspaper.

And the European authorities are. MI5, the UK’s intelligence service, thinks these “reckless attacks” will continue. It’s a “orchestrated campaign”.

The warning has already arrived from Germany: NATO may evoke self defense to respond to these “hybrid measures” by Russia.

All this, apparently, because the West generally supports Ukraine in dealing with Russia. Something that, as was already known, carries a risk – but the risk of not supporting it would be much greater.

And be warned Keir Giles, senior consultant at think tank Chatham House: “It’s impossible to say how widespread this is, because We only see what comes to light – and some of what comes to light is by accident. Some countries are very interested in keeping the situation under control.”
