Procedure

For the honey sheets, you will need 400 grams of plain flour, 150 grams of powdered sugar, 100 grams of honey, 100 grams of butter, two eggs and one teaspoon of baking soda. From these ingredients, you will prepare a dough that must be divided into four equal parts. Roll each part into a thin sheet and bake until golden in a preheated oven at 180 degrees, approximately seven to eight minutes. Leave the baked sheets to cool.

For the cream, you will need 750 milliliters of milk, two vanilla puddings, 150 grams of sugar, 150 grams of butter and two egg yolks. Cook the puddings according to the instructions in milk with sugar, and when the mixture thickens, remove it from the stove. After it has cooled slightly, mix in the egg yolks and butter until a smooth cream is formed. Let it cool completely so it’s ready to layer. To finish, beat 250 milliliters of whipping cream with one tablespoon of icing sugar until stiff peaks form.

It is important to pay attention to accuracy when folding the cream. A layer of cream is evenly applied to the bottom honey sheet, which is smoothed to a perfect smoothness. Then another layer is added, another layer of cream and finally whipped cream. The entire dessert needs to be left in the fridge for several hours so that the individual flavors combine and the layers soften.

You can decorate the top plate in different ways. It is most often sprinkled with powdered sugar, but creativity knows no bounds. You can try, for example, a chocolate coating, nuts or delicate decoration with cream.

Slovak krémeš is ideal for celebrations, family gatherings or just for an afternoon coffee. Its taste will be loved by both children and adults, because it combines the sweetness of honey, the softness of cream and the fluffiness of whipped cream.
