In 2023 the Renfe, national railway company, registered the highest number of delays ever.
Delays have become the norm, highlights the channel, which portrays complaints from passengers about a chaotic train situation across Spain, with reports of delays of 1h45m.
Os problems They are diverse and have multiplied over the last few years in the neighboring country.
There is breakdowns or robberies copper; trains that stay stopped in the tunnels; and even passengers arrested for hours without water or light.

For Jorge Morera, from the Association for the Promotion of Public Transport, the bigger problem than delays is “the degradation quality of service provided by operators”.

And yet another complaint is added to the list: refunds. Renfe no longer refunds half the ticket price when the train is 30 minutes late. Now it only gives this value when the delay is greater than 1h and fully returns the value if the train is more than 1h30m late.
