Miniature Christmas tree – small conifers instead of a large spruce or fir
A miniature Christmas tree is especially suitable for smaller homes because, unlike a large spruce or fir tree, it does not take up much space. What conifers can you use instead of a traditional Christmas tree?
- Holly
You can replace large spruce or fir with holly, which is used for wreaths and garlands. It looks great when you place its sprigs in a vase or planter. Thanks to its decorative dark green leaves and red fruits, it no longer needs any decoration. You must not forget to take care of it, because the twigs dry up after a few days and lose their shine.
- Cypress trees and cypress trees
Another proposal for a miniature Christmas tree are cypress trees, which we recommend placing in a glass vase. Decorate them like a traditional Christmas tree, ie hang ornaments, chains and beads on them.
Instead of cypresses, cypresses will dowhich are available in almost every hypermarket. It is also worth using Christmas decorations on them.
- Miniature spruce
We are talking about white spruce (variety „Conic“). It looks great, tied with a red ribbon. However, do not forget to display it before Christmas itself, because in a heated room it quickly drops needles. Therefore, after a few days, place the tree outside and insulate its pot so that it hibernates until spring.
These potted plants can be used to make a Christmas tree

Wrap the roots of the “Phalaenopsis” orchid with moss and attach it to a metal candlestick. Looks great with candlesbut do not set them on fire so as not to damage the plant.
On the frame in the shape of a Christmas tree, we recommend hanging delicate stems of an exotic orchid, e.g. flat-leaf vanilla. You can also use another hanging plant, for example ivy. It will also be useful in this case spray it with soft water once every few days.
