Memphis Depay’s arrival at Corinthians undeniably excited the fans, who felt an air of newness surrounding the team. Now, the black and white team’s intention is to continue in this line, thinking about a new reinforcement for 2025.

Regaining confidence in the club’s project, Corinthians is looking for stars, and has a plan to get a new important player every year. As a result, football executive Fabinho Soldado has used Depay’s project to recruit new players, with a new image of Corinthians off the field.

Attempts have even come from players, such as the meeting between Memphis and Neymar, which made the rounds on social media with the Dutchman’s desire to play side by side with the Al-Hilal striker.

Initially, the image to be transformed at the club is that of a bad payer, and an administration in crisis – made difficult by the uncertainty regarding the permanence of president Augusto Melo. These reasons led the team to receive some refusals from players, and need to regain the trust of athletes and external investors.

The move is being made, and it has worked. Today, Timão appears in conversations with multi-champion Europeans, going beyond the rumors with Neymar and reaching real conversations with Sergio Ramos, Spanish defender who won the 2010 World Cup, and Real Madrid idol.

Upon leaving Sevilla, Ramos was offered the black and white team, and liked the project. Despite this, the possibility did not materialize, as Corinthians decided not to pay the high price demanded for the 38-year-old defender.
