Seoul – Shortly before voting on a motion for impeachment, South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol apologized on Saturday for temporarily imposing martial law. In a live TV speech, Yoon accepted “legal and political responsibility” for his actions. His party should decide about his future. Shortly afterwards, the head of Yoon’s party, Han Dong-hoon, reiterated that the head of state’s resignation was inevitable.
