Armamar company adopted 12-hour shifts in exchange for one less day of work

The four-day week model is pleasing employees and productivity has increased. Every 12-hour shift, the company provides breakfast, lunch and snacks for the team on the premises.

A meat processing company in Armamar decided to adopt the four-day-a-week working model. The working hours have increased, but one less day is worked. Employees are satisfied and productivity has increased.

“It takes 12 hours, it costs a little, but I can speed up my life and have more time for my family”, says one of the employees.

In human resources management, so far the balance is also positive.

“We stabilized the team more. We didn’t have such fixed schedules and it was much more difficult for people to have a personal life”, explains Joana Pinto. And the worker productivity also increased.

For each 12-hour shift, the company assumes one breakfast, lunch and snack for the team.
