When it came out in 2010, there wasn’t much competition in the B segment for this compact crossover SUV-whatever design. The market is now full of vertically extruded small cars and somehow you have to stand out from the crowd. The original Juke did this with its pseudo-Porsche fins on the hood, better to attract negative attention than not at all. Since the second generation, however, they have only been recognizable as remnants, which is visually very advantageous, but definitely hurts the recognition value.
