Coach Luis Zubeldía, in the press conference after the 2-1 defeat to Botafogo, admitted São Paulo’s interest in midfielder Oscar, who is free on the market after leaving Shanghai Port, in China.
The commander said that the club’s board is already planning reinforcements for next season. In addition to sharing the desire to repatriate Oscar, coach Zubeldía said he spoke with another possible reinforcement.
“We spoke to Oscar and another player. There are issues that we need to negotiate with the player, but we have already spoken with two athletes who I believe are important for the team”, declared coach Zubeldía.
However, the name of the other possible reinforcement was not shared by the coach.
Now, the club’s players are on vacation, while the club’s directors are moving in the market to improve the team for next year. In 2025, the club will face Paulistão, Libertadores, Copa do Brasil and Brasileirão.
