President Luiz Inácio da Silva complained of headaches and drowsiness in conversations with ministers throughout this Monday (9), according to a report from one of them. One of the president’s interlocutors said that Lula was already showing discomfort during the afternoon.

According to the minister (Secretariat of Communication), the president appeared unwell at the end of the afternoon and complained of a headache. “The examination was brought forward and he underwent the procedure to stabilize the condition. The procedure was successful,” he told Sheet.
According to a member of the medical team, the condition is stable. The president woke up after the surgery, was conscious and went back to sleep.
Ministers are monitoring the president’s clinical evolution. Jorge Messias, from the (Attorney General of the Union), is one of them. “We are praying for President Lula’s full recovery.”
As reported by the Mônica Bergamo column, President Lula on Monday night and, after tests carried out at the Sírio-Libanês hospital, in Brasília, was transferred to the São Paulo unit for emergency surgery.
He underwent a craniotomy to drain the hematoma, which was successful, according to a medical bulletin released by the institution. He was treated by doctors Roberto Kalil Filho and neurosurgeon Marcos Stavale, and is now under the care of infectious disease specialist Ana Helena Germoglio.
In October, the PT member suffered a fall in the bathroom of the Palácio da Alvorada. He was treated and had stitches. The bleeding occurs almost two months later, as a result of the domestic accident.
The bulletin informs that “President Lula was last night (9/12) at the Hospital Sírio-Libanês, Brasília unit, to undergo an imaging examination after feeling a headache. The magnetic resonance imaging showed intracranial hemorrhage, resulting from the accident at home suffered in 10/19”.
