Trump confirms a visit to Texas after floods cause more than 100 deaths

The devastation along the Guadalupe River, around San Antonio, attracted a great search effort

United States President Donald Trump confirmed in a press conference at the White House that he will visit Texas on Friday, 11, after sudden floods in the state kill more than 100 people during the July 4 holiday and leave an unknown number of missing.

Earlier, White House Communication and spokesman Karoline Leavitt had already anticipated the possibility of the president’s trip to Texas.

The devastation along the Guadalupe River, on the outskirts of San Antonio, attracted a great search effort, while authorities face questions about their preparation and the speed of their initial actions.
