A Russian attack destroyed a private clinic. Moscow has repeatedly denied that it targets civilians in its attacks.

The death toll from Tuesday’s Russian missile attack on the Ukrainian city of Zaporozhye has risen to six, while four others remain trapped under the rubble. More than 22 people were injured, the governor of the Zaporozhye region, Ivan Fedorov, reported on the Telegram platform on Wednesday, TASR writes, according to a Reuters report.

“All emergency services of the city are on the scene,” the governor said. Images published on social networks showed rescuers and equipment clearing the rubble of the collapsed building at night. The attack destroyed a private clinic.

Regular attacks on Zaporozhye

Russia regularly carries out airstrikes on Zaporozhye and the surrounding areas. Ten people were killed and more than 20 injured in the attack last Friday. However, both sides of the conflict deny that they target civilians in their attacks. They say the goal is to weaken infrastructure that is crucial to the war effort.

On Tuesday, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called on Ukraine’s allies to provide the country with an additional ten to 12 Patriot air defense systems, which he said would fully protect the country’s skies.
