In a statement to ZAP, the product buying and selling platform presents a detailed analysis of the evolution of the supply and prices of iPhone models, between 2022 and 2024.
And, over these three years, it is noted that the Apple devices are getting cheaper and cheaperespecially in the last months of the year.
It’s a pattern that will be linked to increased demand for affordable Christmas gifts, especially second-hand tech gear – as long as it’s in good condition. And linked to the devaluation of previous models.
The highlighted example is the iPhone 14 Pro Max: practically two years ago it cost 1,350 euros, now you find an ad with 712 euros. It’s a 47% drop in less than two years. And because it’s December.
The iPhone 11 cost 440 euros, now it costs 241 euros (around -44%). The iPhone 11 Pro Max fell from 490 euros to 270 euros during this year (-45%).
The most recent iPhone 15 Pro Max also features “competitive prices” throughout December, with advertisements for 880 euroswhen at the beginning of this year it exceeded R$1,200.
