The family claims that the abuse began when the young man was 13 years old. According to the police, those arrested in the operation entered the teenager’s house armed to erase evidence of an alleged intimate relationship between the young man and Ribeiro. They would have made the minor provide the cell phone password to delete images that were in the photo gallery and saved in the cloud.

The crime of rape of a vulnerable person is characterized by sexual intercourse or any libidinous act with a minor under the age of 14, regardless of the victim’s consent. Currently, the penalty for these cases is 8 to 15 years in prison. A bill in the Chamber seeks to increase the punishment to 18 to 23 years in prison.

In a note, the deputy states that the accusations are not true and alleges that a dishonest narrative was established “based on the distortion of facts that would have occurred and that were supposedly indirectly involved”.

Who is Alcides Ribeiro? – Alcides Ribeiro, also known as Professor Alcides, has been a federal deputy since 2019. He was a candidate for Mayor of Aparecida de Goiânia, the second largest city in the state, on three occasions, being defeated on all of them. In the last one, Ribeiro received the support of former president Jair Bolsonaro, as he is a member of the same party.

Accusations of Jorge Kajuru – In 2016, current senator Jorge Kajuru (PSB-GO) stated that Alcides Ribeiro harassed minors who played for Atlético Goianiense’s youth teams. In the case revealed this Thursday, the victim’s mother revealed that the deputy attracted the boy, who dreamed of becoming a football player, precisely with the promise of moving up in the Goiás team.
