Grapes are plants that thrive in our climate, they can be easily grown in the gardenare not very demanding towards the soil. The juice can also be prepared from grapes from the store or purchased ready-made.

Grape juice contains numerous vitamins and minerals, including:

  • Vitamin A — supports the functioning of eyesight.
  • Vitamin C — supports immunity and collagen production.
  • Vitamin E — protects against free radicals, acts as an antioxidant, has a positive effect on the condition of the skin (slows down the aging process).
  • Vitamin K — takes part in the blood clotting process.
  • B vitamins — accelerate metabolism and have a positive effect on neurological functions.

Research conducted in 2019 and published in the Polish scientific journal “Acta Biochimica Polonica” indicates the important benefits of resveratrol, a polyphene found in large amounts in grape seeds. This ingredient has, among others, anti-inflammatory, anti-aging and anti-cancer effects (in the case of some cancers).

Dark grape juice also contains numerous minerals such as magnesium, zinc, iodine, potassium, phosphorus or ironthat support the functioning of the entire body, including: they are responsible for maintaining proper blood pressure and participate in the production of red blood cells.

First of all, antioxidants help naturalize the effects of free radicals, thus protecting the body against diseases. Also, juice supports the functioning of the heart because the ingredients it contains help reduce the level of “bad” cholesterol and improve the elasticity of blood vessels, which translates into lower blood pressure.

Grapes, thanks to their vitamin content, also support immunity and help the body fight infections. Moreover, the fiber they contain supports the functioning of the digestive system and helps to remove toxins from the body. It also has anti-inflammatory effects and can be a complement to the prevention of joint health.

To prepare this delicious juice you need:

  • 2 kg of grapes without stalks,
  • 0.5 kg of fine sugar,
  • 1.5 cups of water.

First, wash the grapes thoroughly under running water. Then put it in a pot and add water and sugar. Bring the ingredients to a boil and wait until the grapes release their juice — it usually takes a few minutes, but it depends on the type of fruit. Strain the boiled juice through a strainer, boil again and pour into bottles or jars. Finally, you should go for it pasteurize in boiling water for 10 minutes. You can drink the juice every day by diluting it with water. Daily doses of 400 – 450 ml should not be exceeded.
