The National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) issued a yellow level warning, this Sunday (15), of intense rain between 20 and 30 mm/h, which will reach much of the state of Acre.
The alert is in effect until 10 am on Monday (16) and represents chances of rain of up to 50 mm per day, with wind gusts of between 40 and 60 kilometers per hour.
The municipalities affected are Acrelândia, Assis Brasil, Bujari, Cruzeiro do Sul, Feijó, Jordão, Mâncio Lima, Manoel Urbano, Marechal Thaumaturgo, Porto Acre, Porto Walter, Rio Branco, Rodrigues Alves, Santa Rosa do Purus, Senador Guiomard, Sena Madureira and Tarauacá.
Inmet advises, in cases of strong winds, to stay close to trees, due to the risk of falling and electrical shocks. Vehicles near transmission towers and advertising signs can also cause accidents, and electronic devices should preferably be turned off.
