The Brazilian President underwent two surgeries following an intracranial hemorrhage.
Lula da Silva has already been discharged from hospital after the two interventions he underwent following an intracranial hemorrhage.
The president of Brazil had been admitted to Hospital Sírio-Libanês, in São Paulo, since last Tuesday, the day he underwent emergency surgery.
The medical team announced this Sunday that it decided to bring forward the medical discharge, which was only scheduled for the beginning of next week. Lula is expected to remain at rest for the next few days, but will be able to resume work normally soon.
He will also have to undergo a computed tomography scan next Tuesday before returning to Brasília, adds the hospital, cited by Reuters.
“I’m whole (…) I’m going home”, said the Brazilian President, interrupting the press conference.
Lula da Silva underwent emergency surgery in the early hours of Tuesday to drain a bruise on his head, which arose following a fall he suffered at Palácio da Alvorada, his official residence, in October.
After experiencing headaches, the Brazilian President went to the hospital to undergo tests that ended up detecting an intracranial hemorrhage.
On Thursday morning, Lula da Silva underwent another procedure, an embolization, to prevent future intracranial hemorrhages.
