Former speaker of the US House of Representatives ‘is recovering well,’ says California Democratic political spokesman Ian Krager
The former president of the House of Representatives in , , underwent hip surgery this Saturday, the 14th, at a US military hospital in Germany, after falling during an event in Luxembourg. Pelosi, 84, “is recovering well,” California Democratic political spokesman Ian Krager said in a statement. She is in Europe with a US Congressional delegation to mark the 80th anniversary of the Battle of the Ardennes in World War II. Pelosi tripped and fell during an event and fractured her hip, according to sources familiar with the matter. She was re-elected to represent her San Francisco district last November.
