Pachuca missed two of the first five shots, but survived to see Al-Ahly miss the last two; Mexicans won 6-5
Pachuca, from Mexico, is in the final of the Intercontinental Cup. After eliminating Botafogo 3-0, they defeated, this Saturday (14), on penalties, Al-Ahly, from Egypt. The Mexican team won 6-5 in the penalty shootout and faces the in the decision. Pachuca missed two of the first five shots, but survived to see Al-Ahly miss the last two. With a new draw at 3-3, the teams converted and waited for the opponent’s mistake, which happened to Al-Ahly on the eighth kick. Only 16th in the last Mexican Championship, Pachuca reaches its first final and faces the champion of on Wednesday (18), in Lusail. The team entered directly into the Intercontinental decision and will face Rayo Vallecano this Saturday, in the 17th round of Espanyol, before traveling to Qatar.
