The Judiciary Police (PJ) arrested him in flagrante delicto two foreign citizens suspected of producing drugs of plant origin in the center of the country and exporting them by mail to different parts of the world, the PJ announced this Saturday.
In , the PJ clarifies that during the “Magic Mail” operation (“Magic Mail”, in Portuguese), carried out in recent days in the central region of the country by the Drug Trafficking Unit, arrests were made a man and a woman, aged 30 and 35respectively.
As part of the action, the PJ dismantled a greenhouse of “considerable size”, where narcotics were produced, and a laboratory used to process the drugs produced there, namely drying, dehydration, packaging and packaging.
The operation resulted in the seizure of around 40 kilos of cannabis700 grams of MDMAfive kilograms of hallucinogenic mushrooms, peyote catshundreds of LSD microseals and other substances that are being analyzed at the PJ Scientific Police Laboratory.
In addition to the drugs, vehicles, money and other equipment that were used in the production and processing of the drug were also seized.
The suspects were presented for the first judicial interrogation, which continues on Monday with a view to applying coercive measures. The criminal investigation is led by the Department of Investigation and Criminal Action (DIAP) of the District of Lisbon North, in Loures, and investigations will continue, adds the PJ.
