Jude Law is a new name on the pavement of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The British actor postponed the unveiling ceremony of his star. Shortly after he learned he would receive a star on the Walk of Fame, his mother Margaret died. The film idol admitted that the death of his mother hit him hard.
“It was actually quite a long process because I found out and I was originally supposed to have the ceremony a few weeks ago. But I lost my mother. So we had to postpone it,” Jude told People magazine. The actor was supported by his wife Phillipa, daughter Iris and son Rafferty when he was presented with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday.
The actor’s mother Margaret was a teacher and in 1967 she married his father. The actor grew up with his parents in the London Borough of Lewisham and began his career in theatre, before moving on to television and film.
