Persian cyclamen There are plants available on the market with flowers in shades of white, pink, red, purple and salmon. Some varieties also have wrinkled leaves. Cyclamen grow well in bright rooms with diffused light and in partial shade. They also like cool air. If they are too warm, they waste away. The optimal temperature for these plants is about 15 degrees C. The plant must have a constantly moist substrate. However, you need to be careful when watering so as not to wet the flowers and leaves. It is best to water it from the bottom, i.e. pour water into the base. It is also worth fertilizing it once every two weeks with a fertilizer with a low nitrogen concentration but rich in potassium. We can also prepare homemade conditioner from coffee grounds.

Coffee grounds are rich in magnesium, phosphorus and potassium, which support the growth and flowering of plants. To prepare the conditioner, pour a tablespoon of coffee grounds with a liter of boiled water at room temperature. Leave for a few hours and then strain the liquid through cheesecloth or a strainer. Water your cyclamen once every two weeks. As we wrote above, in summer cyclamen goes dormant. This usually happens in August. We then stop fertilizing. We move the pot with the tuber to a cooler room. We reduce the frequency of watering. Once every two weeks is enough to prevent the tuber from drying out. When new leaves appear, we transplant the plant to a new substrate. Cyclamen grows well in humus soil rich in minerals.
