Vinicius Jr. was elected the best player in the world by The Best award, held by FIFA. Among the technicians who participated in the vote were Brazilians Dorival Júnior, Vinícius Eutrópio (Brunei), Silvinho (Albania) and Juliano Schmeling (Vanuatu).
Of the four coaches, they all chose him as the best in the world, and only Sylvinho included Rodri, the Real Madrid striker’s main opponent, among the first placed.

Silvinho, from Albania, voted: Vini (1st), Rodri (2nd) and Bellingham (3rd). Juliano Schmeling, from Vanuatu, a country in Oceania, chose: Vini (1st), Toni Kroos (2nd) and Yamal (3rd).
Voting for The Best award is carried out with votes from fans, national team captains, national team coaches and journalists.
