At first glance, there is nothing complicated about washing towels. We usually pour washing powder into the washing machine, pour in fabric softener and set a specific temperature. It turns out, however, that these two detergents make the fabrics rough and unpleasant to the touch, and yet Each of us dreams of wrapping ourselves in a soft and fluffy towel. So start using…glycerin.
During we should completely give up powder and fabric softener. These two products stiffen the delicate towel material, making it rough to the touch.
Many people recommend adding vinegar to the washing machineto soften fabrics. It is true that this is a good method, but not everyone tolerates its pungent smell. That’s why it’s worth using glycerin, which can be bought at a pharmacy for about PLN 5 (small package).
Glycerin softens fabric fibers, making them flexible. Therefore, it minimizes their roughness and some “stiffness”. The material in this product is delicate to the touch after washing. That’s not all…
Another advantage of this cheap product is the elimination of detergent residue. If we often wash towels with washing powder or fabric softener, their residues may have accumulated in the fibers. Glycerin effectively removes them, restoring the materials’ former softness and fluffiness.
Moreover, it can be used for both white and colored fabrics. It will not discolor materials or weaken their structure.
To wash towels in glycerin is enough pour 3 tablespoons of this product into the drum or into the washing machine compartment. Set the washing machine to a temperature of 40-60 degrees Celsius and the spin speed to 800.
In the case of very dirty fabrics, we can also soak them in glycerine. Then pour 300 ml of this ingredient into a bowl and add another 3 liters of water. Leave dirty towels in this mixture for at least an hour. Only then do we start washing.
Let’s also remember that the washing machine with towels should not be overloaded, because they need space to wash and rinse. If the equipment is overloaded, the fibers will not be thoroughly cleaned.
